The interview with Branch (who OV'd over the weekend) suggested we see him as a safety, he sees himself as a corner. Teasdell is a safety.

Rivals has this kid as a 5.5 3 star

According to Rivals, he attended a Rivals Camp 4/14. Since 4/26 he has received the following offers:

Michigan
Cockeye
Okie St
Utah
Miami FL
Notre Dame
Nebraska

I didn't necessarily get the sense that he he sees himself as a CB, but that Nebraska wants their DBs cross trained and able to ay both safety and CB. I got the sense that he was saying that he wants to put it on film that he can play both safety and CB, not one over the other. Did I read it wrong?

You could well be right.

The comparisons have been coming for several years, but Saturday inside Memorial Stadium during a Red-White game that also served as a public debut of sorts the noise grew louder with each completed pass showing off touch and the ability to change arm angles.
After throwing for 239 yards and a pair of touchdowns while wearing a green No. 15. The comparisons just couldn't help themselves. Many someones many somewheres said the same thing.
Nebraska freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola sure looks a lot like Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes II.
Still it wasn't just fans or media members making such remarks. Players and recruits arrived at the conclusion as well. Heck even an assistant coach for the Kansas City Chiefs thinks the same. Dave Merritt, the father of four-star linebacker and official visitor Dawson Merritt, coaches defensive backs for the Chiefs. In fact the elder Merritt needed to get permission from Andy Reid to miss the NFL draft for the visit, but it did allow him to get eyes on Mahomes.
Now the Merritts have a scheme they want to hatch for Chiefs training camp.
"They are the same exact person," Dawson Merritt said. "Me and my dad were talking and we were like we should take this dude to training camp in July, dress him up in No. 15 and all of that. I'm telling you fans wouldn't be able to notice. It's actually that trippy."
It's not just the jersey number, the haircut, the rarified arm talent. It goes beyond those things.
"They have all the same mannerisms," Merritt said. "They walk the same. They throw the ball the same ways. It's Kobe and MJ for real. It's crazy."
Those comparisons are only going to get a little deeper too, once the summer session gets started. Raiola announced after the game he'll finish out the semester and then get down to Kansas City for some work alongside Mahomes and his trainer Bobby Stroupe.
"I just want to be around greatness," Raiola said. "Obviously he's going down as one of the greats already. Just trying to take it all in. Try to lift my game as much as I can."
One scrimmage and one interview later Nebraska fans are already letting their guard down and their hopes and dreams lift.
Good luck managing expectations now, kid.

I think this boy is N. THese comments not just from him but his dad are just too good.

For sure Dylan is damn near a clone of Mahomes. Even down to how he walks, communicates to his receivers and players on offense on the field. His mannerisims are very much like Mahomes.

But the best, and most important part, is that he seems to also have the skill/talent that Mahomes has in arm strength, quickness of identifying the right reads. The ease the ball leaves his hand, the ability to put the ball where defenders can't get it but our receiver can. You can see why this kid is drawing the Mahomes comparison. Hard to not drink the koolaid too much!

My S.O. and I were watching the recording Saturday night. She doesn’t know about the connections to the same qb coach but she loves her some Patrick Mahomes. Even she commented that his posture, cocky/confident stride and touch similarities
“And he plays like Mahomes.” 😂

Didn't Simms cut his list and we didn't make it, or am I on drugs?
