On signing day, I was enamored by how we recruited at every position except RB. However, after laying it all out, we are frighteningly thin on the DL. Our only official signee there is Ashton Murphy, and he is listed at 225 lbs. on the team roster. Carlon Jones was a big miss but we didn't properly address him going turncoat on us.

With the success and numbers of last year's DL class, we can probably afford to go light on DL this class. It should be an emphasis for next year's class, and we're off to a good start there with Terry.

The only position that gets a failing grade from me is running back. Clearly there is something going on with all of the DBs they signed where they expect some of them to grow into LBs or move to offensive side of the ball.

Rhule repeats over and over about being positionless and having a bunch of versatility so the class looks like one you'd expect him to sign.

Big points for getting two extremely high quality spins at the QB slot machine. If one of those hit the class likely ends up much better than it appears on paper, which is still quite good

I'll give it a A-. Raiola pushed it over a B. RB is lacking severely.

But we got enough talent to let out the odds work out the weak ones over time.

I’m not sure there is such a thing as a perfect class with all the variables that can present themselves each and every year.

This year though, I’d say a solid B to B+.

Answered a lot of needs and ended up with a top recruit in the nation. Everyone has pointed out the gap at RB, but we aren’t necessarily done with the class yet either.

Pretty solid effort and result from this staff.

A minus. You can’t complain if you land the top QB and one of the top 10 IOL in the same class. We can still add a RB from the portal. We will look back in a few years and realize that this class turned Nebraska football around and back to national prominence.

QB - A+
RB - F Losing Lacy hurts as I don't like our RB room currently. I'm not sold on EJ like most are. If the staff can close on Dowdell I'll be very happy.
WR - B+ If Raiola commits earlier we could've ended up with some serious difference makers. That's the why I say B+ is because what could've been. I really like the two legacy guys and I think Barney will be a pretty good player. We'll see on the 2 from Bellevue West.
TE - A+ Carter Nelson alone makes it an A+. I do think either Flynt or Ingwerson ends up at OT.
OL - A+ Great class IMO. Brix, Taumua, and Pyle will be great players here. And I love that we were still able to bring in Riggeroli.
DL - C Not sure about Murphy, losing Jones sucks but we had one of the best DL classes I can remember last year.
Jack/Edge/LB - A- I still can't believe we signed McGahee. I never thought he'd stick. I really like the speed and athleticism of McGahee and Shivers.
CB - A I really like the duo of Buford and Tarver. IMO they both are going to be really good.
S - B+ I like Guthrie and Benning. Gradney is a great athlete. Quite a few under the radar guys the staff likes.
