It's funny, I thought the target boycott would not be a thing. People like my wife aren't plugged in at all to the rage politics of our country. But she and 5 other women were sitting around at our sons baseball game last night talking about how they are done shopping at Target. It's anecdotal, I know, but my wife doesn't pay attention at all to this stuff.

But maybe this is the line crossed that gets the attention of women like my wife. I assume there are a lot of women like my wife out there. Conservative by nature but isn't political at all. She has no interest in national politics. Cares more about local stuff like the school board, but even then it's like she makes sure she votes but she doesn't put any other mental or emotional effort towards it. The Bud Light thing she thought was weird but she doesn't drink Bud Light so who cares. But this Target thing..with a mom of 3 boys and also an owner of a day care....actually struck a chord.

Just found it interesting that 6 women I know very well, who never talk anything political, were talking about how awful Target was for this.

My mother has shopped at target for years. Shit, she'd go to each target in Lincoln because "What if they had better deals" at the other store...Dafuq mom, whatever. My sister sent her some of that stuff on Target....her response "That damn target, not shopping there again."
