That big Tone on far right?Jamaica was good.
Flights were rough. Our flight from Wichita to DFW was cancelled. So we drove down the night before, then DFW to Montego Bay was delayed 3 hours. On the way back our flight from DFW to Wichita was delayed 90 minutes.
My review of Sandals Ocho Rios...
I'd give it like a 6.5 out of 10
Pros:
The 3 big pools with the swim up bars are really nice
Lots of restaurant choices - 16 on the resort
Plenty of space so you don't ever feel too crowded
The water is beautiful
Jamaicans are very friendly people
Cons:
Island time is a real thing. It took forever to get food, drink etc etc
You are explicitly told no tipping. Now obviously we all know better than that and to tip bartenders/wait staff for better service. However, they all wore buttons that said "Do not tip me" and then every time you turn around you were getting begged for a tip. It was pretty annoying.
It's a long drive to the resort from Montego Bay....1.5 hours
We had a party of 10, so our first day there we made sure to make reservations, like they told us to. They got our reservation wrong every evening for dinner
Rooms are just ok, nothing spectacular
It's a weird lay out, the resort has 3 separate areas and you either have to take "The Hop" to get to other places on the resort or walk a ton of stairs every where.
Food was just ok.
Overall, if you can get a good deal, it's not a bad resort, everything I complained about was no doubt first world problems. But the 10 of us all agreed that we preferred Secrets resorts that we stayed in Cancun.
A pic for you guys....I'm a ginger...so you can figure out which one I am.

Tan all over. Jan all over.
This was one I somehow missed in the first run of viewing the show, but it's in my top 5:This deserves more likes
1 of the best lines in the history of the Office
Personally it’s in my top 5 lines
For me it’s right up there with the deposition when the court reporter reads back what MGS said.
