Verduzco always struck me as the kind of guy who's really smart, but sucks at teaching what he knows. His approach to teaching seemed to be to just dump everything on guys at once and let them sink or swim.

The cap is on the number of coaches who can recruit off-campus. But I imagine the other coaches can still 'scout' guys off-campus.

How do you figure that? His first (and only) year as DC at San Diego State was great, and his first year as DC at Idaho wasn't bad (#43/130 scoring D).

I went into this season with tempered expectations, not chugging as much kool-aid as some, because I knew we were too young at too many positions to expect a big leap. And ultimately, the way the season played out wasn't too far from what I expected. But if the way to win is to get old and stay...
