So it's seems that Rhule is making sure to have clear targets in place before any coach gets fired. Smart based on what we have seen this coaching carousel.
Regardless of who Penn St brings at this point it has already caused a ton of division between players, alumni and boosters. So either they bring in a new coach and risk a mass exodus from the current players or keep Smith and risk losing NIL backing. It's fun to watch.
If Chesney is the guy it will very interesting what his staff looks like. IMO one mistake some small school coaches make is retaining their whole staff instead of seeking the best available coaches on the market.
Dylan knowing the fan base is probably why he isn't posting. He makes a post and people will start saying he is trying to take the spotlight away from Lateef. Smart just to focus on rehab and let it die down.
One thing to note about Dayton is that he needs reps. This year was his 1st season as a full time starter at QB. It probably is best for his development to go to a smaller school/G5 and get an opportunity to get playing time and if he pans out then go into the portal.
If I had to make a guess he steps down at the end of the year citing health reasons and they announce him to a advisory role which would pay him the remainder of his money further crippling the program.
Okay but how many teams are going to pay 1.5 million for a QB who had one good game against a bad UCLA team. I like Lateef and think he is going to be very good but the sample size is way too small.
Yeah I don't have a problem if they lose one due to them wanting playing time and to be the solidified QB1 for a program. What im saying is money shouldn't be the main factor.
