100%! Last year we didn't have enough shooting for guys to play supporting roles...we would have lineups on the floor with Rollie, Berke, and Meah...and so a guy like Sam would feel the pressure to put up 3's because no one else was going to make shots. This year he doesn't need to be that...
I think Rhule has fallen victim to what our last few coaches have...they overrate the talent that is here and the talent they have recruited. I hate to use Indiana as the example, but one of the first things Cignetti did when he was hired was he brought in 30 guys with playing experience...
The problem with Rhule now is he is entering year 4, and we have no identity on either side of the ball. If there was 1 thing I thought he would do for sure, it would be improve our play along the Lines of scrimmage...and that is the area where we are the weakest. He is running out of excuses...
This is the type of move that makes be wonder what the hell Stewart and Rhule are doing...I get it that maybe he is good for depth in the QB room, but I hope there isn't a bunch of Rev share/NIL being thrown at him when we have more pressing, obvious needs.
This is why I like this matchup. We should be able to get whatever we want offensively. Also a huge coaching edge if it's a close game. I still can't believe Diebler is the coach at OSU with all the resources they have.
Cignetti is absolutely killing it in the portal…I guess why should we be surprised? Indiana is the new Alabama…which was a preposterous thing to think or say 18 months ago.
