Which fired Husker Coach would've been able to overcome his own shortcomings and roster issues to build Nebraska into a consistent contender? A few other aspects to add to this hypothetical:
- Huskers have a top 12 NIL budget like they do currently
- Keep in mind the rest of the Big 12 and the...
Ok, well this makes even more sense now why he is suspended for week 3 and 4. I'm guessing he wanted to be apart of the OU game and then also apart of their home opener.
Lane Hovey was a solid player for a team that had a lot more skill talent than what we've seen recently. You could argue Lane Hovey is probably the #1 receiver on the 2023 team.
Its crazy to think that Nebraska had Jordan Westerkamp, Stanley Morgan, Jr, Brandon Reilly, Alonzo Moore, Demornay Pierson-El, and Cethan Carter all on the same roster.
In this day and age, I don't expect much from any freshman ranked outside the top 25 nationally. However, this kid is in a completely different talent class from Oleg.

He takes Venmo, but only in payments of $599 or less.
I truly applaud his desire to screw the government.
Counter point to your Counter point:
Cal rushed for 120 yards per game last season, and only 3 ACC teams finished in the top 50 Nationally of rushing offenses. Every team in that league throws the football all over the yard.
