lol catching a football isn’t a football move? I haven’t understood what a catch in the nfl is in well over a decade - what happens when a bunch of nerds decide the rules

Not anymore lol. The nerds have broken a catch down to 3 steps…. 1. Clear control 2. In bounds 3. Make a football move and/or clear possession at ground contact

There’s so many hidden rules in the actual rules themselves nowadays, some of the shit doesn’t even make sense anymore.

Control isn’t the argument, it’s that cooks never made a football move after control and/or come to the ground with the ball in his clear possession, therefore it was the correct call.

According to the rules I think it was a correct call...however I think it's a flaw in the rules. I don't think someone should be able to take it away once the receiver is on the ground with possession.

The catch rules are not different in the endzone. Secure the ball, establish in bounds and survive the ground impact without losing control of the ball.
