Except he was one of one.

We usually agree, but different room man.
It’s a thing.

Rhule didn’t sign Suh for another year, so we suck balls.
Is it? This guy isn't going to be Jeff Sims like I referenced, but pretending that grabbing someone out of the portal for a known weakness suddenly fixes the problem is pretty short-sighted. We added Gabe Moore and Jaylin George last year to fix the known weakness at DL, let's not act like I'm out of line here for expressing concern that our big body is a guy coming off a season ending injury while other teams are grabbing production from 2025.

Here's the first sentence of his bio on the Boston College website:

2025 (Redshirt Senior): Started all three games he was active for at defensive tackle before a season-ending injury

I don’t think I pretended it fixed everything, but yeah.

I guess I was just responding to your Suh reference for Rhule, my apologies.

Dude got stretchered off the field to an ambulance in fall camp, came back and was taken out for the season in September. Hopefully he’s back to pre-injury form but sorry I’m hesitant.

Again, he’s a piece. We need bodies at DT we don’t have a week ago.

We take a ‘maybe’ versus taking nothing and that makes sense.

We can be unhappy about not being able to attract top tier DL transfer talent, but that’s pretty antiquated.

We’ve been marginal for 15 years in that room.

I think there was another injury between those two also? @Kinish

What’s his current injury he’s working back from and when is he supposed to be back to 100%? Probably very cheap piece. Disappointing they haven’t addressed DL with some plug and play dudes.

Its almost like a team that can allegedly financially compete with anyone is budget shopping for their biggest positions of need

I hear you... what I guess I'm getting at is on the OL where I'm super pumped with what we did, we brought in 56 P4 starts between 3 guys in the portal. On the DL where I'd argue we need even more help we have 6 P4 starts between 3 guys coming in, and the guy with 5 of those (this thread is about him) is coming off a season-ending injury. Maybe that's just where we are as a program?

I just thought we may be able to pull in an SEC or B1G DL with double-digit starts like we did on the OL twice. Bodies are fine, but that's not what recruiting is about.

Idk, that DL with Ty and Nash was pretty nasty
