He’s probably a DSA so doesn’t count against our 105 so fine if he works hard and has a good attitude.

I was told that we mishandled this situation and that he was considered a loss. So this should be considered a big-time addition.
Any insight into why he redshirted this year?
Because Butler was a d-bag he knew he didn’t want to play under so was gonna leave. Now that things have changed and has a better picture of what his role will be he’s staying? Maybe the same with keona now with the new coordinator and position coach (since he’s not actually in the portal yet)? 🤷🏼♂️
Glad he's back and showed flashes during the bowl game against Boston College last year.
I kind of feel the same way about McGahee as I did Emmett when he was a sophomore. The talent is obvious and its also obvious that coaching decisions are holding him back. Or at least were.
The talent is there if his head is right.
No way McGahee is a DSA. Those were essentially all walk-ons, right?

It's true Emmett took a different approach but do you really think he would have stayed here if Holgorsen didn't make him the starter and he kept riding the pine?
How is it obvious that coaching decisions are holding him back? What coaching decisions?
He entered the portal after Butler was fired, the new DC was hired, and his new position coach was in place.
I think a bunch of them were on scholarship.
I was surprised to see he came back.
This is probably the result of his dad having a long talk with him. His dad is super big on NU. He needs to not be playing as a JK, he is built more as a MLB. He wasn't going to take a lot of time from bigger Jokers. He likes to play the edge though. so they need to put in some things for him.
