And if we had him the last 9 years we'd have 46.and yet. not one of those schools ever was like "yo this guys a great coach. lets bring him in when we have an opening"
instead its nebraska.. who's got exactly like 1 DL recruit in 10 years 🤣

With any luck, Terry could help put some of our DL into P4I don’t mean to come off as a homer guys. I never crossed paths with Aaron. I know a lot of people who have. But he wouldn’t know me and I wouldn’t know him if I saw him on the bus.
What I’ll say is that you can be of the opinion that you want someone else. Totally fine. But honestly, the guy put 3 of his DL on all conference teams in the ACC this year in Lubin, Van Den Berg, and Copeland. Two of those guys have eligibility left in Lubin (8.5 sacks in the ACC) and Copeland (VaTech DT) and Van Den Berg could find himself getting a Deigo Pavia waiver (315 LB NT who was first team all conference).
So Aaron is not a bad football coach at all and there’s not a doubt in my mind he’ll get a D1 opportunity extremely soon.
We could do much worse.
They just have to enter in that timeframe. Don’t have to have a school picked.
But to your point, yes.
You’d also likely be able to grab his DT this year that got 12.5 sacks that just got a Clemson offer and Texas Tech is sniffing around.
UNL enrollment deadline & attending classes play a part.
I know I'm the founder of the HES, but I have been quietly pretty pessimistic with how the DL coaching search has been handled. And I'm not just saying this from the HES perspective, if this ends up being the hire, I kind of love it. He has been elite at developing DL at IWCC. He has players that he could POTENTIALLY poach some instant impact guys. I'd actually be pretty excited about this hire.Terry is a better hire than Bradden, the dude can coach DL and recruits his ass off. We could do a lot worse and I was expecting us to.
Strictly from bringing a potential impact guy this year perspective, that guy may be a higher end add than what a lot of P4 DL coaches could bring this year. You’d also likely be able to grab his DT this year that got 12.5 sacks that just got a Clemson offer and Texas Tech is sniffing around.

The connection with also potentially poaching some of his previous guys now in big boy schools is something intriguing I hadn't considered.
I think it’s the Tuesday after MLK day. Definitely that week.Normally around 1/22 isn’t it?
Somehow we’re speculating he can bring up to 4 guys from different schools. That seems quite unlikely (but I’m here for it if he can).I feel like I'm in looney tunes world. Y'all are trying to rationalize a hire of a JUCO position coach.

keep gassin' up a career juco position coachOne who helped put more defensive lineman on a P4 all-conference team IN ONE YEAR than we have had in the last 10 years combined.
What if…and it’s a big if…the deal of him becoming the DL coach included him having to convince two of those three to portal and come to Nebraska…and they did.We would have to hustle up as the portal closes in what 8 days?

Do enrollment dates really matter for football players?I think it’s the Tuesday after MLK day. Definitely that week.
We party!?What if…and it’s a big if…the deal of him becoming the DL coach included him having to convince two of those three to portal and come to Nebraska…and they did.
Then what?
