Don't know how many watched the Ohio UNLV game the other night, but Ike Ackerman had a hell of a game. Ike is a true freshman DE for Ohio out of Omaha Central (he is my cousin's son).
Ohio had a DE get ejected for targeting early, so Ike got more PT than normal, and he took advantage of his time. Finished the game with 5 tackles and a strip sack, where he also recovered the fumble when UNLV had 1st and goal.
Ike is a monster of an athlete - broke the Nebraska all-class state shotput record last spring. While he was a very good player for Central, he is really just now becoming a true football player - track was always his #1 sport growing up.
I am obviously biased, but this is a kid that I wish we would have recruited more or potentially tamper with now. Probably not a kid that would help us win in 2026 too much, but will be a stud in 2027. But don't be shocked if he makes a few plays against us next year in the season opener — I know he is pretty excited for the opportunity to play Nebraska next year.

Minny must’ve coughed up some dough. This will stress the rest of their roster unless their pool increased which seems unlikely.
