Meh, it’d be a fairly decent reach for Michigan. Running a college program is a pretty complex endeavor and he has fairly limited college experience IMO.

oh i don't think its a good fit for him.. he's a great OC.. no clue on ceo/progrum management. i doubt he jumps from the ravens unless he sees john getting fired etc
Really good OC and his style of offense would likely play really well in the college game. That being said, there’s no guarantee he’d be a good HC. Lots of good OCs and DCs blow chunks at being a HC. Additionally, coming from the NFL, he won’t be able to bring any transfers/players with him. Also we have no idea what kind of recruiter he is. A lot of pro coaches HATE recruiting HS kids.

I always liked Whittingham and I wish we were running Utah's offense in Lincoln. I hope he opts for retirement instead.

I’m not sure he can win a NC at Michigan, maybe. But he’ll definitely clean up the mess and purge the Connor Stallions and Sharrone Moore types.
