Site issues?

Far too often, all pages take forever to load. Several minutes ot times. It times out periodically, also. Sunday night it was incredibly slow, which seems odd that 11 pm on a Sunday night would be bogged down with too many users.. Game days it is incredibly slow. Almost unuseable. Today though, hasn't been bad. Still slower than any other site I ever visit, but not bad. I have to think this is a server issue getting bogged down or overloaded. I also realize I have brought this issue up in the past. I cannot replicate the problem with any other sites. I do speed tests even though other sites and TV streaming is fine, just in case. No idea why this site, and only this site, is so slow too often. Any device BTW - phone, tablet, PC - all slow when the site is bogged down. When it slows down like that, I can't even give a like or quote posts as it will just spin once I try either until a red bar at the tops says something about "we are having problems".

Only problem I have is when I click on a thread, on my iPhone, I have to click it twice to open the thread. I am also using Microsoft edge as my browser. It’s entirely possible my issues are related to Edge, iPhone, or both and not the site.

There is a lot of people that should be liking my posts who aren’t. Not sure if this a technical issue or just general stupidity amongst our posting population? Anyway, this is a pretty big problem and if you could look into it that would be great. Thx G and gbr

Honestly I feel like it’s hit or miss. Sometimes it’s cooking and other times I have to do the double click like mentioned or it is just slow as absolute fuck and drives me crazy. I know my internet at my house is 150mb and my wifi gives me 40-50 consistently. Zero issues other websites. But then again this is where most of my time is spent.

Out of curiosity, why would you use Microsoft edge on an iPhone?

I didn't think about performance on the old themes. It looks like there's only 8 people still holding out on v4, maybe we just get rid of it?

TPB has been working fine for me today, but I just noticed my theme switched and it seems to load well.

I had no idea I was on an older theme BTW. Hopefully this takes care of the lagging issue. Thanks!

So far it definitely feels quicker. I also like this theme better overall I think. When I went to the "forums" page before on the old theme, there was a mess of stuff above the actual forums that I had to scroll through. Again, thanks for the help!

Off topic but I found this guy that makes some SICK themes but he's pretty expensive. Can't decide if an upgrade is worth it since most people complain anyway

Haha I'm a dumb dumb on v4, had no idea. I'm not partial to it. But I definitely have never noticed really slow load times like tman says. It's usually pretty quick except for the nug threads or threads with lots of twitter embeds. Sometimes it takes a while for my likes to go through when someone does a good/funny/ gd right post, and I do pride myself on handing out the correct reactions to posts I find amusing.
