Glad you came here because I thought about tweeting at you but decided not to.

I think you and your boy need to have some humility. In a time where Nebraska football is trending upward and just extended the best coach we’ve had here in a long time, you guys are on social media being babies and making all of this about you. Stop it, let the stupid drama die and support the program that pays your bills. You don’t need to be a mouthpiece but it’s okay to say enough is enough and you ensure you guys aren’t being a nuisance to the coach and program. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the advice. I’m super aware the average fan doesnt care (or know) about it. Not super new to understanding audiences. I was pretty explicit about saying I understood that when I talked about it publicly. I think we have all been in a place sometimes when you’re justifiably angry and you don’t factor in people’s feelings and interest level in your response to it even if you should. Probably fair to say your perspective and mine are probably different on the entirety of what happened too and that impacts the way we look at the response differently.

If you go on the way back machine, you can see me commenting on late 90s huskerpedia and early aughts big hisker fan. Anyway, Interesting to see everyone’s take on my comments this week. I probably would’ve felt that way about me too looking in from the outside. Anyway, not gonna try and change anyone’s mind here. If anyone is actually interested and who I am and why I’ve done and said some of the things I have and defended the friends I have and wants to grab coffee or a beer in the Lincoln area sometime, DM me. Things usually make a little more sense with some context, but that said I definitely have had my share of coming in hot and regretting it, although not sure I would say that about this given the actual set of facts and relationships in play. Anyway, Not gonna keep that bit up or screw up your threads anymore. That would definitely be media bitch behavior. We all get a little bit worked up sometimes. Just be aware that essentially nobody outside of the media cares about Josh being yelled at over the phone, and blowing up twitter to continue rehashing the issue is just annoying the hell out of a fanbase that wants to be excited about our coach’s extension and the very important game tonight.

I assume we all could get to a place where annoying people or giving them a few tweets they don’t like feels justifiable for other practical reasons. And frankly, they may have ended up doing some good. Some things happened I have appreciated after some people beyond the main subject weighed in. I think/hope most of us wouldn’t be super worried about being unpopular or ruffling feathers when we are pushing for something we think is right. But again if you know all the facts and think it was a tiny trivial thing that didn’t have any real world impact then nothing I say will matter am I’m just a whiny bitch who is not smart or experienced enough in life to delineate between a small thing that should die quietly and something worth changing.

Wasn't even like Peterson was breaking some hard-hitting story or doing investigative work unearthing stuff that wouldn't have come out without him. He got a few hours drop on a contract extension that was going to be fully public record in less than a day.

This whole thing is dumb as shit. Who cares that he broke the story early and who cares that Rhule called him and let him know he didn’t like it? This a Rhule and the media thing, don’t mean shit to me if they announce the extension on Thursday or Friday, don’t care.
