I think it’s true. TGI Fridays really declined as well. I think Chili’s has stayed pretty consistent though

Every national chain is just a Sysco copy/paste menu. Even larger local restaurants fall into the same category.

Every time I eat at an Applebees (which isn't often) the food is better than I remember. It's the damn service that sucks donkey dick that makes me say I'm never going back again....at least in Columbus it sucks.

I'm sure the quality of those places has declined to some degree but I'd bet it's more your perspective of "good" has changed.

Yeah the only chain restaurant we eat at anymore is village inn for breakfast because they’re cheap and fast so we can get out before the toddlers lose their shit.
