When they were in the MVC no one cared. I remember being in the dining hall at HSS and looking up and seeing Nebraska-Pickle Smoochers playing on tv and didn't even realize the game was that night. It was just another non-con game.

Ever since they got Doug and joined the Big East things have escalated quickly.

That makes sense. I would have went to games there right before then, around 2010-2011

I'm not really sure why this is the case as we were a 3 seed against Xavier and a 6 seed against Penn. I was 8 years old when Nebraska lost to Penn and vaguely remember it. But I read this somewhere a few years ago that when Nebraska lost to Penn, it was considered one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history at the time.

I feel old.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that, but I also rarely see enough basketball in a season to have a great read on even half of the field of 64.

I was as really surprised when Xavier beat that '91 team, but shocked when we lost to Penn in '94. In reality the '91 team was better overall, but I guess I kind of got enamored with Piatkowski by the time '94 rolled around. Won the Big 8 and lose to Penn.
