This defense played amazing football today, but the outcome of the game never really felt like it was in-hand until the clock hit 0. As rough as the offense looked throughout this game (especially in the 2nd half), it was the two blocked punts that should have beaten us.
But they didn't.
This time.
The Huskers NEED to figure out Special Teams. As great as this defense is, and with an offense still trying to find an identity, a borderline inept ST unit has the Huskers playing with fire. The fear I have is that getting burned is coming; it is just a matter of when, and against whom.
